State Rep. Darlene Senger Announces Campaign for Re-Election
Naperville...State Representative Darlene Senger (R-Naperville) is pleased to announce her campaign for re-election this Thursday, October 22 at 11:30AM under the covered bridge in downtown Naperville's River Walk. Naperville Mayor George Pradel will present opening remarks.
"It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the residents of the 96th legislative district. While I am proud of my accomplishments on behalf of the people of Aurora and Naperville, I believe there is much work to be done," Rep. Senger said.

Rep. Senger Calls Governor’s Signature of Capital Bill a Major Victory for Route 59 Expansion
Springfield…State Representative Darlene Senger (R-Naperville) joined with state and local officials on Monday to commend Governor Pat Quinn for signing the capital bill and allocating $125 million to fully fund the Route 59 expansion project.
“The expansion of Route 59 has been a priority of mine since my start in public service. As a Naperville City Councilman, I understood that expanding Route 59 meant economic development, a safer roadway, and a better quality of life for the residents of our area. I worked aggressively in Springfield to ensure that Route 59 was included in the capital bill for the first time ever,” Rep. Senger said.

Rep. Senger: Governor Signs Bills to Improve Lives of Illinois Troops and Veterans
Naperville…State Representative Darlene Senger (R-Naperville) is pleased that Governor Pat Quinn signed into law several pieces of legislation that she co-sponsored to improve the lives of Illinois’ service members and veterans.
Rep. Senger co-sponsored House Bill 52 (Public Act 96-0079) to remove the current requirement that a veteran must be 100% disabled and eligible for the purchase of a vehicle by the federal government in order to qualify for a Disabled Veterans’ license plate. Under this new law, veterans will qualify for the special license plate if they hold proof of a service-connected disability from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs along with certification from a licensed physician.

House Adopts Senger Resolution to Protect Local Communities Impacted by Canadian National Rail Acquisition
Springfield, IL…Today, the Illinois House unanimously adopted a resolution introduced by State Representative Darlene Senger (R-Naperville) which will protect the interests of communities impacted by Canadian National’s acquisition of the EJ&E Rail.
House Resolution 68 urges Congress to enact legislation to ensure that federal funds are allocated to assist communities impacted by the Canadian National acquisition. It also encourages Congress and President Obama to support “the Reaching the Star Act,” an inter-suburban commuter rail that will ease traffic congestion in 100 communities including Naperville.
